Friends Bernard Elliot and Robin Thompson just have cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats for Green Squeeze. The route took 12 days and covered 1140 miles!
See some great photos of the trip here.
They have raised lots of money for a cause close to their hearts... Green Squeeze.
They have fond memories of growing up in this area of beautiful countryside between the cities of Derby & Nottingham. It is now under threat from developers who want to build a new town of up to 4,000 houses on the site of a former iron works. This area is a buffer zone between the cities & a haven for wildlife & a 'breathing space' for those who enjoy its tranquillity & it's open spaces, especially for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, runners & bird watchers.
If you haven't sponsored them already, please read a summary of their journey here and spare a few pounds to show your appreciation of their huge achievement. Green Squeeze really needs donations to help fund the campaign.
Thank you for your continued support.
