Green Squeeze is opposed to the Stanton Regeneration proposal for the redevelopment of the Stanton Iron Works site, near Stanton by Dale.

This site represents a location for strategic employment provision and regeneration, whilst the scheme put forward appears to consist mainly of residential development with a smaller amount of employment uses proposed.  The site has been considered through previous local plan documents as employment land not residential land.

Not only do proposed access points potentially involve the loss of valuable greenbelt land, traffic generated by the development may have a detrimental impact on the capacity of the existing road network.
