New Erewash MP Jessica Lee's maiden speech in Parliament was on Wednesday June 9.  Miss Lee paid tribute to her predecessor former Labour MP Liz Blackman, while attacking Labour for 'stifling' small businesses in the constituency.

She also vowed to protect greenbelt around the new Stanton development, mentioned her support for a train station in Ilkeston and praised the work of regeneration agency Erewash Partnership.
